We are made up of Enger and Hygi. Enger being your local educator and flax weaver. Hygi being your original snow enthusiast.
Hygi has been designing and guiding award winning tours nationwide for 15 years. Our idea of beginning a family run buisiness has led to Tiaki Tours. Enger and Hygi are passionate about environmental sustainability and the current direction of the tourism industry on NZ on regenerative tourism is where our alliance lies.
Taking groups of no more than 11, our focus is on quality of experience. Each of our tours will be unique as we aim to design a holiday for our guests that suits their interests and needs. We take care of everything for them. From initial consultation through to designing and booking the itinerary and guiding the tour, we take pride in our attention to detail and integrity in all our dealings. We aim to work with other industry providers who are implementing regenerative tourism throughout their operations.
Tiaki means to ‘care for’ and this is a part of everything we do. From taking exceptional care of our guests, to offering respect and appreciation for our tangatawhenua and natural environment. We have a deep love of Aotearoa and through Manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and whanaungatanga we help our guests see NZ the way we do. Through touring in a mindful and respectful way, we aim to help them experience a genuine connection to the people and nature of this land, going home with Tiaki in their heart.
