New things are donated every day to Wastebusters by the generous community, so you can always find a bargain. By shopping at Wastebusters, you’re shopping without waste and giving resources a second chance.
Wastebusters runs two reuse and recycling centres, one in Wānaka and one an hour down the road in Alexandra. As well as running their huge reuse shops, they collect and sort recycling with care, so it will be a useful input into new products. They also operate a recycling drop-off where you can recycle a crate full of household recycling (glass, plastic bottles and container marked 1, 2, 5, cans, paper and/or cardboard) for just $3.
As a community enterprise, any money Wastebusters makes is spent on bringing zero waste closer to reality. They also support local groups such as Plastic Free Wanaka who are motivating our community to find alternatives to single use plastic.
