Lake Wānaka Tourism is managed by Chief Executive Mat Woods, Molly Hope (Destination Development Lead/Member Capability), Shannon Kelly (Marketing Executive), Elaine Kelly (Administrator/Member Support), Liz Hill (isite General Manager) and Ash Bickley (Non-for-profit Coordinator//Love Wānaka)
A board of six members, elected from the membership at the annual general meeting, governs LWT. The Chair is Calum Macleod, and the other board members are Charlie Cochrane, Leigh Stock, Gina Dempster, Stefan Zeestraten, and Brona Parsons. Darrin Brown serves as a co-opted member, and the Council is represented by Quentin Smith.
Lake Wānaka Tourism is predominantly funded by a tourism levy, determined as a percentage of the commercial and accommodation rate, and collected by council on behalf of Lake Wānaka Tourism. Members are either commercial ratepayers or businesses who pay a subscription levy.
Lake Wānaka Tourism wholly owns the Wānaka isite Visitor Centre and runs it as a limited liability company governed by the board and Manager. A portion of their profits are returned each year to help fund the marketing work done by Lake Wānaka Tourism.
