Chrissy Wickes was part of a small team who spent ten weeks living and working on remote Campbell Island to monitor a population of albatross. She’ll describe the place, its unique wildlife and her own creativity in a wild, windswept landscape. Then stay on after the talk for a glass of wine, nibbles and viewing of Chrissy’s first solo art exhibition – all art is for sale.

Art inspired by being in the depths of true wilderness – be the first to see it and claim some of it for your walls!

This is the second of the Nature Talks 2024 series, run by Wānaka Backyard Trapping and supported by Southern Lakes Sanctuary and Forest & Bird’s Central Otago Lakes Branch. These talks bring experts in conservation work to our town to share their knowledge, experiences and passion for nature.
