Volunteer: Beach Clean-up and Microplastics Research with WAI Wānaka

Location: Wānaka Outlet (look for the WAI flags along the lakefront)

Join Wai Wānaka for a beach clean-up event along the Outlet (Lake Wānaka / Mata-au) on Tuesday, 14^th of January at 9:30am. They’ll be kicking things up a gear by collecting water samples at the end of the clean-up as part of their microplastics research project, A Teeny Tiny Truth.

An opportunity to care for local waterways while gathering valuable data. All welcome.

The rubbish collected during the clean-up will be sorted and recorded into Sustainable Coastline’s national Litter Intelligence database.
