Camp by the lakeside in a large grassy area with good shade from mountain beech trees. Walk around the lake, go fishing or swimming.
This campsite cannot be booked and sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Pay your fees at the self-registration stand or to warden. Deposit appropriate fee in the envelope provided and keep the receipt section of the envelope in your vehicle or tent. DOC rangers patrol camping areas and will check that fees have been paid.
Notes: No tap water in winter. Picnic shelter and boat ramp on site. No dogs permitted. Number of tent sites is 40.
