Featured Activities
The land upon which Rippon stands has been in the Mills family since 1912. The primary interest of all who work at Rippon is to grow wines which are an accurate reflection of the farm. All Rippon wines are produced from the single vineyard on the shores of Lake Wānaka.
Tastings are small and personal, only four guests per tasting session. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes a sample of 4-6 of current vintage wines. Tastings are free of charge.
Larger group and private tastings can be arranged and accommodated on request.
The Rippon Hall is a flexible wedding and events venue that looks out over Rippon’s vines, Lake Wanaka, and the Southern Alps.
This makes for a stunning setting for weddings and celebrations, conferences, concerts and exhibitions, even learning how to make sausages. The Hall is offered as a “blank canvas” venue hire which allows you to create the perfect event.
THE MAIN HALL
The Main Hall is a stunning room with a recycled native rimu floor, majestic timber trusses and sweeping views. There is enough space to seat 100 people for dining inside The Hall itself, with space for many more for more casual events.
THE TERRACE
The canopied terrace offers seating for up to 200 people with views out to Lake Wanaka and the mountains beyond.
THE LOFT
The Hall has a smaller loft space with its own log burner. This upstairs room is both intimate and flexible.
THE KITCHEN
We have a large caterer’s kitchen which opens up onto the terrace, perfect for a food workshop.
Outdoor spaces in the vineyard include the natural amphitheatre and the nursery, down amongst the vines.
